Trim or allow hair to grow to about 6mm (¼ inch). Avoid heavy moisturizers or self-tanning right before your appointment. If you use topical prescriptions, mention them during booking and arrive with clean, dry skin.
Some discomfort is normal but brief. Our therapists use quick technique to minimize pain. Numbing creams can be applied if needed. Breathe, relax, and avoid caffeine beforehand to reduce sensitivity for a more comfortable experience.
Results commonly last up to four weeks, varying with individual hair cycles and growth rates. Regular waxing can extend time between appointments and soften regrowth. Schedule maintenance visits every three to five weeks based on your personal results.
Some topical medications—like retinoids, Accutane, or strong exfoliants—can increase sensitivity or cause skin damage. Inform us about prescriptions before treatment. We may recommend a patch test or suggest waiting until medication use is discontinued.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Moisturize with a gentle, fragrance-free lotion and avoid heavy exfoliation for two days. Use sunscreen to protect freshly waxed skin when exposed to sunlight.
You should not wax over open wounds, sunburned or infected skin, or active rashes. Certain medical conditions and blood-thinning medications may require caution. If uncertain, call us to discuss your health, medications, or recent skin treatments before booking.
