Results commonly last up to four weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle and skin type. With regular appointments, hair often grows back finer and sparser. Avoid shaving between sessions to maintain longer-lasting smoothness.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on a first appointment. Our therapists use calming techniques, skin prep, and quick waxing methods to limit pain. Taking ibuprofen an hour before and avoiding caffeine can help reduce sensitivity.
Arrive with clean, product-free skin. Hair should be about a quarter-inch long for effective waxing. Exfoliate gently two days beforehand, avoid sun exposure, and reschedule if you are using retinoids or have a sunburn.
Pregnancy is generally safe for waxing, though sensitivity can increase; tell us so we can adjust technique. Certain medications, like retinoids or blood thinners, affect skin sensitivity—consult your clinician and inform your therapist beforehand.
Avoid hot baths, saunas and intense exercise for 24 hours. Apply a calming, alcohol-free moisturizer or aloe gel and wear loose clothing. Exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and use recommended post-wax products.
Mild redness is normal and should subside within 24–48 hours. For ingrown hairs, use gentle exfoliation and recommended topical treatments. If irritation persists, shows pus, or severe swelling develops, contact us or seek medical advice.
